PSSSB Group D Exam Analysis – 5 April 2026

The exam had two parts. Part A was a qualifying Punjabi Language test with 50 questions for 50 marks, to be attempted in 30 minutes. There was no negative marking in Part A, but candidates had to score at least 25 out of 50 to have their Part B evaluated. Part B had 100 questions for 100 marks with a negative marking of 0.25 marks per wrong answer. The merit list is prepared entirely on the basis of Part B scores.

Here is the section-wise analysis:

Section Questions Marks Difficulty Level
Part A – Punjabi Language (Qualifying) 50 50 Moderate
GK & Current Affairs 25 25 Moderate
Logical Reasoning & Mental Ability 25 25 Easy to Moderate
Punjab History & Culture 17 17 Moderate
Punjabi Language (Part B) 13 13 Easy to Moderate
English Language 12 12 Easy
ICT (up to 10+2 Level) 8 8 Easy
Total 150 150 Easy to Moderate

Overall Verdict: The paper is expected to have been easy to moderate in difficulty, in line with the Matriculation-level syllabus. Candidates who focused on Punjab GK, Punjabi language, and basic reasoning should have found the paper manageable. A score of 65 or above in Part B can be considered a good attempt.
