Qualified? Here’s What You Should Do Next

1. Download and save your PSTET eligibility certificate

Qualified candidates’ scorecards and certificates will be made available for download within 2 weeks of the result declaration. Keep both a digital PDF and a printed copy, as recruitment portals require document uploads during online applications.

2. Use the correction window if needed

A 2-day correction window will be provided after result declaration for candidates who qualify. Qualified candidates can send their requests to helpdesk@pstet2025.org for limited corrections during this allotted window. Do not send correction requests before this window is officially announced.

3. Know your certificate’s validity

The PSTET certificate is valid for lifetime as per the Supreme Court order dated February 2024, which struck down the earlier 7-year validity limit for all CTET/TET certificates across India. This means your 2026 qualification will never expire and you will not need to reappear for the test.

4. Apply for teacher vacancies in Punjab

Clearing PSTET makes you eligible — but it does not guarantee a teaching job. You must separately apply for teacher recruitment notifications when released. Paper 1 qualifiers are eligible for Classes 1–5 (Primary Teacher) posts, and Paper 2 qualifiers for Classes 6–8 (Upper Primary Teacher) posts. Monitor the Department of School Education Punjab and the Punjab State Teacher Recruitment Board portal for upcoming vacancies.

5. Keep these documents ready

For any upcoming recruitment application, keep the following prepared:

  • PSTET 2026 scorecard and eligibility certificate
  • Class 10 and Class 12 mark sheets
  • Graduation / B.Ed. / D.El.Ed. degree certificates
  • Category certificate (SC/ST/OBC/EWS), if applicable
