National Service Scheme is a social service program sponsored by the Government and contribution From Individuals which sprang’s from the belief that the difference between what we do and what we are capable of doing would solve most of our problems.This Helps Students to Develops Leadership , Teamwork spirit, and also develops social attitude as well as encourages the responsibility as the Patriotic Indian.Currently NSS Unit of Government Polytechnic is of 100 volunteers.

What GPKP NSS Does ?
NSS at Government Polytechnic Kolhapur is aimed at providing each student with a significant context in which he/she can reach a deeper understanding of social reality in India today. NSS encourages the meaning of the life through service in today’s changing world. The volunteers of this organization have the motto “Not me, but you”. This is the showcase for the belief in selflessness and is reflected in their work to ensure everyone in need gets help making true the words that we rise by uplifting others. The activities taken up by the volunteers from Diploma Students From All Branches of Government Polytechnic Kolhapur include, celebrations on national festivals, Azadi Ka Armrit Mahotsav (Celebrating Nectaral Festival of India’s Freedom), Run For Unity, Tree Plantation, Cleanliness Drives, Cloth Donation, Blood donation camps and orphanage visits.

Run for Unity’ was held by NSS GPKP to commemorate the birth anniversary of Sardar Vallabhbhai Patel on October 31- also known as the National Unity Day or the Rashtriya Ekta Diwas – 31 october 2022
Cleanliness Drive In Government Polytechnic Kolhapur By NSS
Cleanliness camp was arranged by GPKP NSS and Entire Campus of GPKP was by NSS Volunteers , Many Staff Members as well as Principal sir Actively participated in this Cleanliness drive – 19 November 2022
